One of the Holding's exhibits will be the APU-90/120 auxiliary power unit. The new auxiliary power unit has been developed for narrow-body aircraft. Its major advantages are high reliability, simplicity of design, reduced operating costs, increased service life, as well as reduction in weight and overall dimensions. The main design feature of the APU-90/120 is the use of a 2-stage centrifugal compressor.
The system will be demonstrated using state-of-the-art video mapping technology, which is an exceptionally illustrative method of showing what the product will look like. The video clip will be broadcasted onto a sculptured surface, which creates a sensation of total reality.
In addition, a landing gear prototype for the Ка-62 helicopter will be demonstrated on the exhibition stand. A feature of the Ka-62 helicopter landing gear design is a shock absorber and retraction actuator combined in a single unit. The combined retraction actuator ensures shock absorption of loads in landing, retraction and extension of landing gears and when holding in the corresponding positions. It has small overall dimensions and makes it possible to satisfy the requirements for helicopter landing at high vertical speeds and to use the helicopter on ships.
The fire protection system, represented at the exhibition by a model, exceeds the parameters of all analogues available in the Russian market. Its units are 15% lighter than analogues, and the system itself is more compact due to a new unit design and lighter fire extinguishers. The most important system feature is fast activation and reaction speed that ensures aircraft passenger safety. The system has been developed for the MS-21, but it can be adapted for both the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and other aircraft, including wide-body and transport.
During the exhibition, the Holding will hold a number of negotiations with potential aviation component partners and customers in civil and military spheres. “The Holding is interested in expanding its presence in this market because of well-established economic ties, a large fleet of military equipment and the development of its own promising projects where we can become the suppliers,” said Maxim Kuzyuk, CEO of Technodinamika.
