‘The contract between Aviation Equipment and Sukhoi covers the delivery of components for Sukhoi Superjet 100 and is the first step to large-scale localization under the Strategy for the Development of Russian Aviation until 2015, drafted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade,’ said Maxim Kuzyuk, the CEO of Aviation Equipment. ‘Aviation Equipment’s products will meet the highest international standards for aircraft component suppliers. This will spur our entry into the global market as one of the key suppliers of aircraft assemblies and complete landing gear for the leading aircraft manufacturers.’

In 2014, Aviation Equipment will supply Sukhoi with seven undercarriage struts for SSJ-100, which lower and retract the landing gear.

Serial production of landing gear struts will be launched at the Aviaagregat plant. This facility is the holding’s main developer of landing gear and supplier of undercarriage for the Ilyushin-76MD-90A, a heavy military and transport aircraft. The undercarriage for the Ilyushin aircraft was developed to meet increased operational loads. In addition, Aviation Equipment and UAC will cooperate to set up the undercarriage system integration centre at the Aviaagregat facility.
