JSC Aviaagregat, part of the Technodinamika Holding, has successfully passed a supervisory audit for compliance of its special NDT process with NADCAP requirements.

JSC Aviaagregat received NADCAP certification for a special non-destructive testing process in October, 2014. Certification of special industrial processes to NADCAP is a prerequisite for the execution of the Manufacture Localization and Landing Gear Design Improvement for Sukhoi Superjet 100 Aircraft project which is being implemented in partnership with Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (MBD), the world's largest manufacturer of aircraft landing gears.

“Accreditation of special processes to NADCAP consolidates the holding’s position in the domestic market, expands cooperation opportunities and reaffirms our willingness to work in accordance with stringent standards imposed by foreign partners,” said Technodinamika CEO Maxim Kuzyuk. “In Russia, as few as three companies hold these certificates.”

A thorough independent verification of the special NDT process, which is critical in the acceptance inspection of aviation and aerospace products, was carried out during the audit. The entire system, both its physical facilities and documentation, was under review. Operation of the fluorescent penetrant inspection line, the skill level of personnel operating the line, training program, and regulatory documents related to the special process were analyzed.

Recall that Aviaagregat has so far successfully passed MBD conformance inspection and approval of all processes used to manufacture landing gear units, including machining, NDT, etching titanium alloys, alkaline degreasing, sand blasting and shot peening. It should also be noted that Aviaagregat is the first enterprise in Russia to receive NADCAP certification for a nonconventional surface enhancement special process.
